Funko Fusion is set launch later this year

I’ll admit it; I own way too many Funko Pops! But I would also be lying if I said I wasn’t excited about the idea of this. It feels like a long time coming, what with LEGO getting as many games in each of these unique franchises over almost two decades, but the iconic vinyl figures are getting their own time to shine in video game form.

While it was revealed back in 2023, Funko Fusion received its first beefy gameplay trailer, along with an official release date. It is now set to launch on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC on the 13th of September, 2024.

Highlighting more than 20 iconic movie and TV show franchises like Jurassic World, The Mummy, Back to the Future, Jaws, The Thing, Shaun of the Dead, and Chucky, I’m confident that there will be something for everyone.

We also got our first look at actual gameplay, which will seemingly take a third-person approach to the action, as you explore the worlds and environments from each of these classic franchises. It’s unclear as to what the overall premise will be, but our best guess is that some overarching entity will seek to tear these worlds apart, or even possibly merge them, which would be an absolute treat.

Check it out for yourself in the trailer below:

Funko Fusion will launch on the 13th of September, 2024 on all major platforms. Stay tuned for more news as it breaks.
