Music Video of the Day: Montaigne "A Cinematic Plea for an End" (2015)

Montaigne's rise to wider attention has been one that we at the AU have been so stoked to see in the past year or so - such a great and talented young songwriter, Jess Cerro has been dominating on the live front in recent months with shows alongside Washington and her own headline tour pulling in the numbers and the love. Today she's released a special live video of her track "A Cinematic Plea for an End", featured on her debut EP of the same name. Showcasing her powerful live vocals and strong stage presence, the clip is a snapshot of Montaigne at a brilliant and exciting point of her career and we think it's definitely worth sharing today.

It was one of the last shows of her national tour and the first time visiting the Gov since supporting Sia back in 2009.

The Preatures, Seekae and more win at the 2014 FBi SMAC Awards!

The 2014 FBi SMAC Awards went down overnight at Carriageworks in Sydney, celebrating the musicians, artists, performers, restaurants and events who've repped for the city brilliantly in the last year. Forming any city's creative hub and maintaining a vibrant and inclusive culture is a task in itself, but as the SMAC Awards have shown year after year, Sydney has always had a good network of creatives striving to make the city a place you want to go and a place you want to stay.

the AU review's 15 Australian artists to watch in 2015

It's that time again where we look ahead to the year, rather than backwards, and move through the Australian artists we think will make it big in 2015. Now, our definition of "big" doesn't mean a Gotye size explosion - we just think that by the end of this year, all these artists will be well known around the country... some even internationally. Of course, many are well on their way there already. If you look back at our lists from 2013 and 2012, you'll see that usually we're fairly on the ball here. So pay attention! And now, in no particular order:
