Villa Avaya, located inside a gated compound in Jimbaran, Bali, may just be one of my new favourite places to stay. A quick walk from Jimbaran Beach, this stunning villa offers the best of both worlds – privacy and seclusion, yet easy access to everything you could want.
The villa itself is a true masterpiece, offering a spacious and thoughtfully designed layout. It has three generously sized bedrooms, each with their own bathroom. They are very separate throughout the villa, so you really do get that sense of privacy. Every room feels open and airy, flooded with natural light, and thoughtfully decorated with a combination of sleek modern and boho elements.
The open-plan living area, with its soft beige and white palette, flows seamlessly into the kitchen, which is beautifully designed with rustic wooden cabinets and a sleek marble island. There’s also a stunning eight-seater dining table and huge floor-to-ceiling window doors that can be opened to create a beautiful indoor/outdoor space.
The breakfasts here were next level, thoughtfully curated by a personal chef who would cook at the villa each morning. I’d take my fruit platter and freshly made juice and dangle my legs in the pool, taking in the beautiful sound of bird song and early morning sun.
Wulan & Putra, the villa managers, ensured I had everything I needed without being intrusive. Wulan even brought frangipani petals from her home so I could have a flower bath. Their level of service was incredible, and it was clear that they took great pride in making sure guests had a seamless and memorable experience. It’s rare to come across such an exceptional level of hospitality, and the staff at Villa Avaya truly set this experience apart.
One of my absolute favourite spots in the villa was the upstairs balcony, which provided the perfect retreat for reading. The breeze made it my go-to spot whenever I wanted to relax with a book. I especially loved the cacti up here. A quirky yet effective design element.
The private pool, surrounded by lush greenery, was another highlight. I’d float and look up at the overhanging greenery and feel completely at ease. I spent hours by the pool, the perfect haven on a hot Bali day.
Villa Avaya in Jimbaran exceeded all my expectations. From the stunning design to the impeccable service. Whether you’re lounging by the pool, on the couch, watching a movie, or enjoying the open spaces and soft breezes, every moment at the villa feels like an escape into paradise.
