Behind The Lyrics: True Vibenation and A.GIRL take us inside their track “More Than You’ll Ever Know”

True Vibenation

Did you catch the collaboration between the mighty African-Australian True Vibenation and the latest soul hit-maker A.GIRL? Yep, they released the tasty “More Than You’ll Ever Know” last month, and it is a delicious feast of soul, afro-beat and RnB. The two creatives fit dove and tail, and hopefully, they will collaborate again sometime down the track.

True Vibenation described the process “it was awesome working with A.Girl and man can she sing! We were stacking soul vocal harmonies and horn harmonies like nobody’s business. The writing came really naturally as the hook really speaks for itself – what matters most is never material, and we can never express enough in words how we feel about the people in our lives we care about.”

A.GIRL backed up with “the boys from True Vibe and I jumped in the studio early in the pandemic when nobody knew what the eff was going on!? We met and vibed so it was super chill and easy. After a few hours ‘More Than You’ll Ever Know’ popped out and we were all diggin it. We all share a love of reggae and had no idea this impromptu writing session would turn into a release but here we are! Can’t wait to see who this connects with.”

We have a behind-the-scenes interview between True Vibenation and A.GIRL.  We get an insight into their favourite lyrics on the track. We also find out who is freaked out by butterflies, who is scared of snakes, and which one of them can ride a unicycle. Even the trumpet from Mad Max cracks a mention. Watch on.

“More Than You’ll Ever Know” is out now.
