In a special headlining show at the Gaelic Club on Saturday night, Sydney based five piece Stone Parade proved why they are one of Sydney's finest rock outfits, delivering a spectacular show featuring tracks off their album Stratosphere and their upcoming EP. The new songs were sounding well developed, while single "Paranoia" was a personal favourite of the night. But from my humble opinion, this is a band who can do little wrong.

Making for a strong pairing, Busby Marou and Winter People share the rare ability to create truly emotional and intricate folk-inspired music. Playing to a packed out and openly adoring crowd on Friday night at The Gaelic, both acts proved themselves to have succeeded in landing upon their own distinctive sound. They also proved themselves to be captivating performers, treating us to their repertoires with absolute joy and enthusiasm.

Busby Marou were joined by Winter People at The Gaelic Club in Sydney, to play the last show for their 'Underlying Message' tour. Zayra Dolores brings us the photos from the night...

I hadn’t been to see a show at the Gaelic Club in Surry Hills in quite some time. Upon arrival, before I could even grab a tasty beverage, I was transfixed by the sound and energy of Betty Airs. Featuring (but not limited to) Darren Cross (Gerling) and Patrick Matthews (ex-Vines, Youth Group), these guys put on an incredibly upbeat, energetic performance with their own brand of surf/punk rock.

I originally was expecting Moshpit Comedy tonight. Instead, I got a couple of great performances that didn’t produce any laughs, but did produce a good night of music. Sadly, I missed the name of the first act, who was a solo acoustic performer, displaying some great songs and a true indie/folk voice.

In a prelude to their Splendour in the Grass performance, Foster The People played a sold out performance at The Gaelic in one of the smaller and more intimate shows of their tour which was in ways indescribably good - though I am describing it right now.

The Gaelic Club opened its doors for the second ‘Nowhere’ on Saturday the 23rd of July – and what a night it was. With acts including One Vital Word, Skyway and the hotly anticipated performance of one of Australia’s better known punk bands, Bodyjar.
