The Adelaide Roller Derby 2013 season kicked off on Saturday night when the Salty Dolls met reigning champions the Road Train Rollers at the Royal Adelaide Showgrounds. the AU review had photographer Kerrie Geier there to capture all the action.

There was a definite change of mood about the Showgrounds this year. It’s obvious upon one’s first scout about the festival site that the Big Day Out just doesn’t function properly in the stripped back capacity it did last year. With both main stages back in action, the El Jimador wrestling ring and Chow Town being new shiny drawcards for punters and the sheer force of the line-up this year, the Big Day Out experience people will buy tickets for actually seemed to be in operation for this, the 2013 edition.

Adelaide turned on some fantastic weather for the 2013 Big Day Out. With another amazing line-up this year, the fans enjoyed a day of great music and the AU review's photographer, Kerrie Geier, was there to capture it all.

I’m a geek.

The Supanova Pop Culture Expo celebrated its 10th anniversary this year and made its debut visit to Adelaide all at the same time. We caught some of the panels in Adelaide and took in everything, from the entertaining questions to the entertaining costumes.

Adelaide played host to a bunch of Splendour In The Grass artists at the Spin Off Festival over the weekend. Check out the photo gallery from the AU review photographer, Kerrie Geier.

Attendance at the Adelaide Big Day Out was way down this year, but the enthusiasm level of the crowd was high. A scaled down show, minus the eastern states headliner Kayne West and one main stage gave this festival a more intimate feel. Between the main stage and the Guvera skate stage, Legends of Vert performed on the half pipe skate ramp. Perfect weather for an enjoyable day of music.

We head to the V Energy Green Room at the Adelaide Big Day Out 2011.
