Due to weird trams that somehow did not want to run at their peak speed, I missed about three quarters of Zeal’s set. From what I did see though, it was an appealing set of tunes generated by a Mac and a set of whispy vocal chords from one guy, Robert Jarvis, who was definitely enjoying himself. The three songs that I witnessed were accompanied with a pretty spectacular visual backdrop behind him. The impressive visuals would go on throughout the night.

This being my very first time at Revolver Upstairs, I walked around like a complete git, not knowing where the freaking bandroom was and looking like a complete idiot for 20 minutes or so.

I saw Boy Plus Girl arrive at the very beginning of first support Friendship's set, and then saw them watch their second support act Time Shield. The band was even friendly enough to help out during Time Shield's set, when a guitar pick was requested.

I had seen this band before as a support act and thoroughly enjoyed them (see the review of Fire Fire I wrote some time ago), so I was keen to catch them as a headliner.

If you were to take a cursory glance at the gig history of the band known as Clavians you would probably get a couple of impressions.
