EAST BRUNSWICK CLUB

Final Ever Shows at The East Brunswick Club announced.

It's official! Oscar + Martin's show with Parking Lot Experiments and Milk Teddy at The East Brunswick Club on Wednesday 29th February will be the last EVER show at the venue..

After many years in the industry, the owners of the club have decided it's time to kick up their heels and retire. Regretfully for music pundits, the new owners will not be continuing the band room.

Live Review: Expatriate - East Brunswick Club (15.12.11)

Many, many years ago I randomly brought an FBI 94.5 FM mix CD called Kill Your Idols and became smitten with a relatively new act at the time called Expatriate. The Sydney based four piece later released a fantastic record and then promptly pissed off to Berlin for three years and completely dropped off the radar.

The Paper Scissors - The East Brunswick Club, Melbourne (24.06.11)

It had been eight months since the Sydney band, The Paper Scissors were in Melbourne. In October 2010 they held a single launch for “Lung Sum”, which Jai said was probably too premature in retrospect.

In an AU interview Jai explained that the Melbourne weather owed it to them at the album launch at The East Brunswick Club. Although the weather held out for them, I felt anxious in the lead up to their set time about the tiny crowd.

Abbe May + Hootenanny - The East Brunswick Club (24.08.11)

Perth rocker Abbe May rolled on into Melbourne town this week amidst a haze of hard drinking hype, bringing fellow WA two piece Hootenanny along for the ride.

FLAP! - East Brunswick Club (23.7.11)

I must warn you: the following words will cumulate in a rather shining review of Melbourne band Flap!, so those looking for jaded Melbournian/Morrissey-style barbs and backlash, I ask you to seek your teeth-gnashing, fringe-flicking rock crit elsewhere.
