BIMBADGEN ESTATE HUNTER VALLEY

Live Review: Billy Idol, Cheap Trick, The Angels, The Choirboys - Bimbagden Winery, Hunter Valley (28.03.15)

The line up for today's A Day On the Green at Bimbadgen Winery in the Hunter Valley has a stellar line up featuring a plethora of talented musicians. The venue appears to be practically sold out as there isn't much green left to sit on, the regular general admission punters always arrive early to grab the best position and the seated punters have arrived to catch all four bands. There are plenty of toilets, free water and huge merchandise tent to check out as well as the possibility of grabbing a food hamper or a glorious bottle of wine.

Live Review: Elvis Costello + The Sunnyboys - Bimbadgen Estate, Hunter Valley (02.02.13)

Having spent the early afternoon watching the Weather Channel to ensure that Elvis would not become victim of the mud, I made my rather late appearance at Bimbadgen Estate in the Hunter Valley just in time to catch the most welcome return of the reformed Sunnyboys. The large crowd were enraptured, with the level that their music had warmed our hearts in the mid 80s clearly on show. Here's hoping that the reformation is not short lived.

B52s + The Proclaimers + Mental as Anything - Enmore Theatre (26.11.09)

b52s

I arrived at the Enmore Theatre on a warm Thursday evening, greeted by an equally warm venue (air conditioning problems!), and a crowd who were enjoying Sydney’s Mental As Anything – who opened up what was essentially a triple bill, the eccentric group playing through a good selection of their hits.
