Brisbane thrash rockers Violent Soho have spent most of 2010 living every suburban garage band’s dream. Based in Brooklyn, NYC for the bulk of the year, they have toured the globe, played Lollapalooza, Splendour in the Grass & Great Escape festivals, and undertaken back to back tours with The Bronx, Dinosaur Jr and Built To Spill.
Their Gil Norton (Pixies, Jimmy Eat World, Foo Fighters) produced Self Titled album has received critical acclaim since its worldwide release earlier this year and recently secured a 2010 ARIA nomination for Best Hard Rock/Heavy Metal Album. The album has spawned the potent Jesus Stole My Girlfriend (a Top 40 radio hit in both the US and Canada), Muscle Junkie and now delivers the undeniable new single Narrow Ways. The latter is the album’s most considered pop moment and highlights the band’s ability to demand undivided attention even with the volume turned down.
