On the cusp of Halloween 2010, Sydney band THE DEAD LOVE will release their debut single ‘She Ate Me Alive’ which will liberate a dirty, sweaty rock and roll execution as they deliver it with passion and angst. But not before a tour run supporting MM9!
In true rock and roll style things move hard and fast, that’s exactly what The Dead Love have done. Despite only forming in April 2010 they have already achieved more than most bands do in their entire career. Just 6 months in this energetic, edgy and exciting new 3-piece have already built a strong underground swell and have played sold out inner city shows, shot 2 film clips, have almost completed an album and are about to release the debut single “She ate me Alive” – an indie rock tune that will instantly drag you in, showcasing a tight punchy rhythm section groove with clever stones like guitars.
The delicate pop vocals will captivate you through the verse before the gritty rock side of The Dead love is showcased in the chorus with the hook line “NO WAY OUT” almost a chanted anthem that will have the listeners singing along. “She Ate Me Alive” is quite simply an introduction to the world from a band who is not scared to play loud and party hard.
‘She Ate Me Alive’ is set for digital release on iTunes on 30th October 2010 and their music video to match will air on Channel V and Video Hits the same day.
To launch the single, the band will be joining Electro Rockers MM9 for a short run playing The Harp, Wollongong on Thursday November 4; Manly Fishos on Friday November 5 and The Fitzroy Hotel Windsor on Friday November 12. The Dead Love will also be playing two side shows on Saturday November 13 at The Cambridge Hotel, Newcastle and a Sydney city show to be announced soon.
Although only forming in April 2010, ‘The Dead Love’ are far from strangers from the stage and know their way around their instruments. Between them they have toured with some of Australia’s biggest acts such as, Cog, Grinspoon, Shihad, Faker, Dead Letter Circus, MM9, Mammal, Trial Kennedy, Dukes of Windsor and The Butterfly Effect to name a few.
