Glasvegas will play their very first Australian headline shows when they take to the stage in Perth, Sydney and Melbourne this July.
Tickets for all shows go on sale Friday May 27.
Glasvegas have already been announced as one of the highlights of the sold-out 2011 Splendour In The Grass festival.
Glasvegasʼ independent self financed debut single release ʻDaddyʼs Goneʼ, was ranked as one of the two best tracks of 2007 by NME. Following this stunning rise to prominence the support for the band continued to swell, landing them a major record deal with Sony and a Mercury Music Prize nomination in 2009 for their critically acclaimed, platinum-selling, self-titled debut album.
The four-piece have earned their success in part through their unique sound and relentless touring, reaching far beyond their native Scotland by playing at some the biggest festivals in the world and with some of the biggest names in the business, and delivering spectacular shows to rapturous audiences.
Glasvegasʼ second full-length album, which was written, demoed and tracked in a Santa Monica beach-house, was released last month to an eagerly waiting world.
Bigger and bolder than its predecessor and produced by legendary producer, Flood, the album has reaped further critical acclaim for the band who are set to continue to soar.
