Flying Scribble Bring National Tour to an End in Sydney

To celebrate the release of their stunning debut album We’re A Chameleon, Flying Scribble have embarked on an extensive album launch tour, bringing their intoxicating spook-pop tunes to Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane, Hobart and Perth. It comes to an end this Thursday in Sydney at the Red Rattler.

Out now on Queen Silver Enterprises, We’re A Chameleon was recorded entirely by Flying Scribble and skilfully mixed and mastered by Cornel Wilczek (Qua) at his Electric Dreams Studios.

The long-player displays the multi-instrumental talents of Louise Terry and Gray Taylor, who approach each song from a different place; sometimes with tenderness, at other times with fury, but always with a playful heart.

We’re A Chameleon also captures the duo’s diversity of musical terrain and the stylised experimentation of their recording process – such as recording bass in an elevator shaft and amplifying electronic percussion through junkyard speakers set up in a dog kennel.

Flying Scribble is where electronica meets dream pop and brazen rhythm meets soaring melody, all passionately performed with the ‘anything-goes’ expressionism they have become renowned for.

Over the last four years the pair have entranced audiences the world over and played with international and local luminaries such as Camera Obscura (UK), Kevin Blechdom (US), Bachelorette, Pikelet, Qua and Mountains in the Sky.
