Die! Die! Die!’s acclaimed album Form is out today via Flying Nun Records / Remote Control.
The New Zealand trio will launch Form across Australia, kicking off the tour next weekend at The Grand Hotel in Wollongong on Thursday 7 October, Oxford Art Factory in Sydney on Friday 8 October, Revolver Upstairs in Melbourne on Saturday 9 October, and Karova Lounge in Ballarat on Sunday 10 October.
Form is Die! Die! Die! like you have never heard. Masterfully produced and recorded by Nick Roughan (The Skeptics), Form is the album the band always wanted to write, and the one you knew they would. It calls upon all the parts, plus more, that makes this band so exciting but never allows you to stop and put your finger on one. Is it noise pop? Post punk? Shoegaze? Noise / post / gaze / pop?
Whatever you call it, Form is relentless, reckless and sometimes menacing. It has all the ferocious energy and bursting melodies of their previous releases, and while it can tear through you one moment, it also shows a band trying on something different. It is a collision of sounds. It feels like a (r)evolution. Remember the first time you saw a band that blew your mind right open? Die! Die! Die! is all about doing that.
