Children Collide - Arrows tour. Easter dates being to sell out, Red Riders call it a day
The rapid approach of Children Collide’s tour is now beating down the proverbial door, along with the exciting promise of an extra-long Easter weekend. Children Collide are on their usual run of one impressive live show after another and these headline dates prove to be a thrilling new extension of that run. Playing songs off both The Long Now and the lauded second album Theory of Everything, with these shows Children Collide are once more poised to deliver a master lesson in frenetic performance.
It is with greatest regret that we announce that Sydney’s Red Riders (the very erstwhile main support on the Arrows Tour) have decided to call it a day. However, some good news to spring from this shock announcement is that the band will most definitely still be joining Children Collide on tour this month. Children Collide & Red Riders have a lengthy shared history together, and it seems appropriate that they team up on this final live spree.
After eight years together, Red Riders this week issued a statement that read: “We’re all still the closest of friends, but just feel like the entity that is Red Riders has run its course, and rather than grind something that’s special to us into the ground, we’d like to call it quits while we can still stand proudly behind everything that we’ve made together.” This is a sentiment that is too oft missing from such statements of disbanding, and Children Collide are very excited to be sharing a stage with the band as they play some of their very last live shows.
With a similar pang of disappointment we also warn that Children Collie’s Brisbane date at The Zoo has now put up the SOLD OUT sign. It is with the greatest seriousness that we urge fans not to hesitate; all other shows are selling fast. The Arrows Tour launches in just over a week now, promising fans the most solid Easter plans. Be a part of this adventure and join Children Collide for what may be their most appealing bill ever offered.
