Charlie Mayfair goes to visit Nanna at Vinyl Bar

The kids from Charlie Mayfair are such fine young folk. They are taking time out of their late 2010 schedule to visit Nanna at The Hi-Fi's Vinyl bar - what darlings!

Wednesday November 24 will feature Hannah Sheperd and Dave Di Marco from the band dropping in to Nanna's place to play board games, have a few shandies and play some songs for all in attendance (quietly, with their acoustic guitars - Nanna likes to be considerate of the neighbours!).

Having just finished their If I Fell Down tour, which followed their Watch My Hands EP earlier this year, Charlie Mayfair are still on the move for what has been a massive formative year, having only formed in January. As well as Nanna Night, they are playing two shows on the one day at the Brisbane's The Powerhouse for 2High Festival, which takes place this weekend.

After the success of the very first Nanna Night at Vinyl, which took place last night and featured indie rockers Dan James and Stew Riddle from Drawn from Bees, Montpelier are following straight up after Charlie Mayfair on December 8.

Mucho-Bravado's Nanna Night is a night to see amazing music in laid-back acoustic mode in relaxed surroundings at Vinyl Bar at Hi-Fi, while playing Board Games or trivia, eating Tapas and enjoying a fine drop. Punters may bring their own board games. There will always be two sets from each set of entrancing musicians at 7:30 and 8:30.

You may even want to bring your own Nanna. You might just learn something.
