The Frontier Touring Company are pleased to announce that due to an overwhelming demand a second Sydney show has been added to Ben Folds’ May 2011 Australian tour. Folds will now play a second show at Sydney’s State Theatre on Saturday 14th May.

In other exciting news it has also been confirmed that Brisbane songstress Kate Miller-Heidke will join Folds as his special guest at all Australian shows.

Folds and his band are touring Australia in support of his latest album, the acclaimed Lonely Avenue (Warner), a collaboration between him and bestselling novelist Nick Hornby, which was released on Nonesuch Records in September 2010. Ben Folds live in concert is a sight to behold; as a performer he exudes excitement and passion.

Kate Miller-Heidke first bounced into the spotlight in 2004; by 2007 she had a trilogy of EP releases and an ARIA Nominated and Gold selling debut record on her hands. The release of her second album Curiouser saw her success continue with the 2008 release being certified Platinum and reaching #2 on the ARIA charts and #1 on the iTunes chart. Kate has become notorious around Australia for her high energy shows and stunning vocal quality.
