At first glance, The Mix N’ Mash Tour looks like a misprint. Surely pop-punk band The Wonder Years weren’t destined together with hardcore legends Parkway Drive, Miss May I and Confession on one single tour. But as brave as it seemed, the announcement was certainly no mistake, and with You Me at Six originally to join them, they embraced a mixed crowd at Challenge Stadium Friday evening alone as the only band performing that didn’t accompany screaming vocals.

The Mix 'n' Mash tour was a supposedly eclectic proposal of all things "scene", until the two biggest drawcards - You Me At Six and Bleeding Through - deserted the fray to pursue further studio time towards their respective albums-in-the-works. While it may've been a blow to the spirit of the tour, it wasn't critical - after all, Parkway Drive have already packed Hordern Pavilion to it's rafters once before.
