The Grand Lethals (FKA What Remains) - Annandale Hotel (29.3.09)

The Annandale hotel, infamous for supporting Australian bands and making names of upcoming local bands. Sunday the 29th of March the Annandale featured three of these up and coming local bands All Mankind, The Grand Lethals and The Dens. The band I only felt worth commenting on was The Grand Lethals, formely known as What Remains. This was the bands second performance at the illusive/ infamous hotel.

This band consists of Front man Daniel Casuscelli, Lead guitarists and brothers Joel & Rhett Davis, Bass Guitarist Daniel Rodriguez and drummer Brenton Hassan. Each of the band members showed talent, enthusiasm and skill the likes of which is rarely matched in bands of any popularity these days. They performed an array of original and extremely catchy tunes that will get stuck in your head for days. Watching this band perform I couldn’t help but wonder how they haven’t gotten signed by a label yet.

If you haven’t seen this band perform live yet, I highly recommend you take the time to. You can check them out at their next gig at Snap on Friday April 17th. With the band currently recording their second EP, we can only feverishly wonder what this passionate local band will come up with next.
