For those
of you who still don’t know, Miike Snow is
not a person but in fact an indie pop trio. You may better know Swedish duo Christian
Karlsson and Pontus Winnberg as Bloodshy &
Avant
, who over the years have written and produced songs for Kylie Minogue, Britney Spears and
Madonna. To round off the trio is US singer/songwriter Andrew Wyatt.

Tonight the
band played as a 6-piece and opened with ‘Burial’. It sounded amazing live, with its explosive and catchy melodies, as Wyatt’s charismatic voice carried
the song to a whole new level. The whole night was euphoric, plain and simple... one of those nights you
wished would never end.

It was
during their live rendition of ‘Silvia’ when I truly appreciated the important
of lighting for the first time. The lighting technician did an amazing job setting a blissful and carefree
atmosphere with blue and purple lights.

Wyatt’s smooth
and captivating voice really shone during ‘Black & Blue’, as his soulful
expression gave the song depth and life. Their ability to make you feel part of the song is magica, as the band intertwine audience interaction with their electric melodies.

I think it's fair to say, however, that most were only there to hear one song, ‘Animal’. So when it came on, the entire venue followed
their primal instincts. A wave of ecstasy filled me from head to toe as I was entranced by the song, moving and swaying along to the
catchy beats and Wyatt’s smooth pop laced vocals.

Tonight was
one of the best live shows I’ve experienced in the past five years, and along
with everyone there that night, I eagerly await their return to do it all over again.
