Apologies to The Gold Coats for arriving two minutes after their set finished. Checking out their MySpace was a mistake, as the single song that resides in the music player is really quite good; this only served to make me slightly pissed off at the amount of roadworks that are around town these days. It's never a result of my own poor planning. Trust me.

Having formed out of the now defunct alternative hot spot Skinny's Music (coincidentally, the first time I saw them was at the free all-ages closing down show in 2007), An Horse have always impressed me, whether at the aforementioned all ages show, or amongst the chaos of SXSW.

Whether it's the foot stomping rouse of new lead single "Dressed Sharply" or the relatively quiet and subdued "Know This We've Noticed", members Kate Cooper and Damon Cox have the full attention of the almost-capacity venue, and consistently put on a hell of a show. Tonight was no exception.
