Try not to panic: the SXSW Music Festival Schedule is now live.

OK, everyone take a deep breath. Firstly, if you’ve been to SXSW before you know how it works. You’re not going to see half the stuff you want to see, and half the stuff you want to see now will be superseded by not-so-secret shows that aren’t officially announced until the day. The epic Austin festival is just that – so, again, take a deep breath, because the initial showcase timetables are out… now!

With four weeks to go until the city is taken over by scruffy musicians and scruffy “journalists” like the team from the AU, you can take a look at the intiial schedule here: http://schedule.sxsw.com/?conference=music&event_type=showcase&lsort=name&day=ALL

For more, visit schedule.sxsw.com and log in with SXSocial (http://social.sxsw.com/) to begin building your own personal SXSW Music schedule. Hundreds of nighttime showcases will take place March 17-22 – though remember that more will be added daily, so don’t get too attached to anything…

Once you’re logged in, your SXSW schedule will sync to SXSW GO (http://sxsw.com/mobile), so you will be able to access your schedule from your mobile device during the festival.

For all the announcements, make sure to follow our special SXSW twitter account! We’ll be having an event on the Thursday afternoon, so look out for that too! Our twitter account is here: http://www.twitter.com/AUSXSW.

For those looking to learn more, there are info sessions tonight in Sydney and Melbourne – The Corner Hotel in Melbourne and The Newtown Social Club in Sydney. Entry is Free and doors open at 5.30pm.
