No one could ever accuse Trial Kennedy of idly passing the time away. Straight off the back of its national album tour, which finished up in Tasmania just last weekend, the band announces that it will once again hit the road in September, this time to celebrate the release of the third single, ‘Exology’, from their sophomore album Living Undesigned. As well, the band will play a very special one-off show at The Espy in their home town of Melbourne on Saturday July 16.
Released in May, Living Undesigned wields as much grunt and guts as it does gravitas. A bare-boned rock record, but one with soul and heart, the album is significant step up for the band, and has been received with open ears from fans and industry. ‘Exology’ is the latest track from the album, and a prime example of just how explosive the Trial Kennedy sound can be. Hard rocking with an unrelenting beat, the song was made to be played in the live arena.
On the ‘Exology’ Tour, Trial Kennedy will be joined by Dangerous! (exc. Espy / Brighton / Byron Bay / Adelaide / Gosford) - an unhinged and explosive garage rock ‘n’ roll band, with an injection of punk and hardcore shot through it. Having recently recorded their debut album, Teenage Rampage, in LA with the assistance of Grammy nominated producer Ulrich Wild (Pantera, Deftones) and Marc McClusky (Weezer) the band is currently in the UK playing Download and Sonispher Festivals while enjoying Triple J airplay with the single ‘Not One Of You’. No doubt they’ll punk the punters up quite nicely.
As if all of this attention wasn’t enough, it has just been announced Trial Kennedy’s front man, Tim Morrison, will take the stage alongside some of Australia’s finest male vocalists, including Mark Seymour, as a part of The Beatles Back2Back Tour. Performing songs from Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band and Abbey Road, the tour will travel around the country, and will provide Tim with something else to occupy his already non-existent spare time.
