
There seems to be an endless stream of acts that are making the most of our vast brown land this summer. So much so that it is hard to keep up with everything that is happening. GIRL TALK
The man who is solely responsible for bringing mash-up to the masses, Girl Talk, has sold out both his Big Day Out sideshows in Sydney and Melbourne. Those who have tickets to the shows will be pleased to know that Melbourne's garage-psych lovers King Gizzard and the Wizard Lizard will be joining the mix-up maestro for all of his live sideshows. Be sure to get their early to catch these kids, soon enough they will be headlining shows of their own.
If you did not get a ticket to one of the shows, don't stress because there is still hope yet! Girl Talk will be playing tonight at the Mona Foma Festival in Hobart as well as the Big Day Out Festivals nationwide, be quick!

LA DISPUTE
Michigan's La Dispute first toured Australia back in 2009 where they played at a bunch of DIY shows held in warehouses, bookstores and rehearsal rooms. The band have returned several times since then and are becoming more popular with each visit. As a result they have had to announce a slew of extra shows happening in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. THE DRUMS
With their trademark mix of gorgeous melodies, spry instrumentations and sweet jangly pop tunes, The Drums have become a band that is a common occurrence in many music and beach lovers summer mix tapes. So it makes sense that the Brooklyn band have decided to stop in at one of Australia's premier beach towns, Byron Bay, for their Australian tour. They will be playing at the Great Northern Hotel on the last day of the Australia Day weekend.

In a record time that would make this year's Big Day Out organiser's green with envy, 90's pop/dance crossover act AQUA have sold out both their Melbourne and Sydney shows. As a result of Australia's newly found obsession with the Danish-Norwegian dance-pop group, new shows have been added in both cities to accommodate all the barbie girl's and Dr Jones' out there. JORDIE LANE
After spending six months on the road touring with the likes of The Moody Blues, Joe Pug, Henry Wagons and Jeff Lang, as well as a sold-out tour of New Zealand, Jordie Lane will be playing two farewell shows with his 4-piece band at the East Brunswick Club. These are his last shows in Australia before he sets sail east to perform at the SXSW Music Conference and begin recording his new album.
Lane has been touted as an "exceptional talent" who channels "Parsons, Springsteen and Van Zandt," in his performances. Be sure to catch Mr Lane at the following dates before he leaves.

BARRY ADAMSON
Known as a cultural saboteur and jazz devil, Barry Adamson has added a second night of film and live music for the screening of his first feature film 'Therapist' at Pure Pop Records. The red carpet will be rolled out for the Great Southern Hemisphere Premier of the film followed by a Q&A with the director and an advance listening live performance by Mr Adamson of his soon to be released studio album "I Will Set You Free"
