The Vaccines have been previewing new tracks off their yet-to-be-titled third record (due out in May 2015) as they return to the road, playing their first shows in over a year. In our exclusive interview with the band at Clockenflap (Hong Kong), they promised they’d preview three tracks from the next record, and indeed they delivered.
The three songs they played at the Hong Kong festival were: “Dream Lover”, which starts off a bit more stripped back, before bringing in the heavier guitars. “Want You So Bad”, which they self-described as “Hypnotic”, big on the bass with a dose of the keys – something of a hypnotic ballad may be the best way to describe it. And finally, there was “Handsome”, which had the crowd dancing, and contained tongue-in-cheek lyrics like “Thank God I’m Handsome… So Handsome… Thank the Lord I’m Pretty… So Pretty”…
