With Phosphene Dream’s release date imminent (June 24) The Black Angels are amping up for their arrival to our shores in a matter of days for their long-awaited Aussie tour!
Years of non-stop worldwide touring have turned The Black Angels into a well-oiled touring machine who are renowned for their live performances. They have also had their pick of supports joining them along the way, and this tour is no different. The Austin-based psych-rockers are thrilled to announce that joining them on their coast to coast tour will be Joel Gion (The Brian Jonestown Massacre) for a DJ Set, along with very special guests The Laurels and Beaches.
The Laurels are a shoegaze band from Sydney whose psychedelic juggernaut has accumulated accolades, guitar pedals and fans in approximately equal proportion. They join The Black Angels for both their Brisbane and Sydney shows.
Melbourne based Beaches have toured extensively around Australia and the US sharing the stage with like of Roky Erickson, Best Coast, Crystal Stilts and The Black Angels, and garnering a following for their trance-like, reverb-heavy, sonic overdrive live performances. Now Beaches are once again sharing the stage with The Black Angels for their Melbourne show.
