The Hilliard Ensemble announce an Australian tour

The chart-busting singing sensation, the Hilliard Ensemble, is known for its “riveting” stage performances of vocal music and for selling millions of records world-wide, and now they've announced they'll be hitting out shores!

In this concert, the Hilliard Ensemble’s musical odyssey bridges the centuries. They plumb the musical riches of Gregorian chant and French medieval hymn, and a cappella prayers from 15th century England. In the present day, living composers who number as self-confessed fans of the Ensemble, line up to write for them.

The centrepiece of the concert is an Australian premiere - Raskatov’s Obikhod, a Russian orthodox chant setting, especially written by the Russian-German composer for The Hilliard Ensemble and string orchestra.
