Smirnoff Nightlife Exchange Project heads to Melbourne

The Smirnoff Nightlife Exchange Project have announced that Melbourne will be playing host to the Exchange this year!

On the November 12th 2011, Junior Jack & Kid Créme and Alex Gaudino will headline the Italian-themed evening at the Harbour Esplanade in the Melbourne Docklands. The Australian ambassador Anna Lunoe (who we interviewed when it was announced) will be hosting the night, spanning across several different 'zones' in the warehouse.

Meanwhile, in Italy, Australian dance mega-acts Bang Gang Deejays and Nervo will be playing in an Australian themed lifeguard hut in Turin! While it may be hard to get tickets to Italy on short notice, Melbourne night-life fans can apply for free tickets to the event via the Smirnoff Australia Facebook page! If you're going to be in Melbourne on November 12, what are you waiting for?

Now in its second year, the Smirnoff Nightlife Exchange Project sets out to uncover the best of global nightlife, and bring together different cultures to create an extraordinary nightlife experience. With the audacious goal of helping 10 million people discover, share and swap unique nightlife, the Australian team is already gearing up to be part of an epic worldwide event like no other. Over 10,000 ideas have been submitted from all corners of the globe, including local cocktail recipes, new dance styles, types of music and city fashion trends.

Madonna will attend the New York celebration to help handpick the overall global winner of the dance competition from 10 finalists who will be flying to New York from all over the world. Finalists will compete in front of Madonna for the chance to be one of her backing dancers for her next world tour.
