Simon Felice tour kicks off next week

After two failed attempts, this time it’s gonna happen.
So finally.....please welcome to Australia.....SIMONE FELICE.

Formally of the FELICE BROTHERS, and now a fully fledged solo Artist and published Author, Simone will be hitting Sydney and Melbourne in September as he attends engagements at the Melbourne Writers Festival.

Born in the Catskills Mountains, Simone’s story is one to behold. At age 12 he suffered a brain aneurysm and after emergency surgery he had to relearn all his basic motor skills, and in 2011, he undertook emergency open-heart surgery which forced his last tour cancellation, but that’s just the body.
The mind, voice and soul have been working fine so at 15, he was starting punk bands before turning his hand to poetry and writing, which lead to his first collection, The Picture Show, at age 22. Then, with brothers Ian and James he formed THE FELICE BROTHERS, which Simone stayed a part of for the recordings of Tonight at the Arizona, The Felice Brothers, and Yonder is the Clock.

During this time, Simone also managed to publish his first short works of fiction, Goodbye Amelia, and Hail Mary Full of Hole. Moving onto a new musical group, he formed The Duke & The King with his old friend Bird. Recorded in a cabin in the Catskills Nothing Gold Can Stay hit the stores in 2009 being hailed as one of the most haunting and honest albums of the year.
2010’s follow-up Long Live The Duke & The King has been similarly praised. Allen & Unwin will release Simone’s latest effort and his first novel, Black Jesus.

Simone lives less than a mile from the creek-house he was born in, and travels his own country and abroad sharing his songs and stories and we can now all share in their majesty. We know these shows are going to be very special musical engagements. DO NOT MISS IT.
