Gabrielle & Cameron (Dead Letter Chorus) announced today as special guests

A day after Old Man River’s memorable performance for the Dalai Lama, it was announced that Gabrielle and Cameron from DEAD LETTER CHORUS will be joining Old Man River as special guests for his East Coast 1000 Cranes Tour.

Inspired by his heartfelt initiative ‘1000 Cranes for Japan’, Old Man River will be performing songs in an intimate acoustic setting from his albums ‘GOOD MORNING’ & ‘TRUST’.

In 2008/09 OLD MAN RIVER developed a strong bond with the people of Japan when he became the first Australian in decades to score a #1 hit on both the Japanese and foreign music charts with his single ‘LA’. During numerous touring and promotional visits to Japan, OLD MAN RIVER made many close friends and so felt he wanted to make a personal gesture of goodwill to the people of Japan after the natural disasters of March 11, this year.

OLD MAN RIVER initiative is to fold 1,000 Paper Cranes and personally deliver them to the people of Japan later this year in a gesture of goodwill on behalf of his friends and fans. The campaign is supported by the Red Cross and has already attracted the attention of other artists including JOSH PYKE, CLAIRE BOWDITCH, LIOR and LITTLE RED.
