Matt Walters to farewell Melbourne before he heads overseas.

Australian singer-songwriter Matt Walters creates a unique blend of folk influenced pop music on his debut album 'Farewell Youth'. Produced by Paul McKercher (Sarah Blasko, Augie March) and Francois Tetaz (Bertie Blackman, Gotye) the album was released earlier in 2011 to critical acclaim.
Walters also featured on Universal Music Mothers Day compilation earlier in the year ‘When I First Met Ya Ma’, covering Paul Simons’ ‘Mother and Child Reunion’.
Playing one final show in Melbourne before heading overseas for three months to work on his next release, Walters and special guests The Hello Morning will perform at The Toff In Town on July 27th.
Conversation has the simple ease of a classic piece of pop written by someone already assured in his craft…★★★★

Matt Walters accomplishes something wonderful….each track is as sweetly expressed and as charming as the one before…★★★★

Farewell Youth… shows a man comfortable in his skin, talking of the past but somehow never miserable or too melancholy about it.
