Melbourne have proved that they are keen to jump aboard Jinja Safari’s Mermaids and Other Sirens Tour with the show at The Corner Hotel on Saturday 23rd July now well and truly SOLD OUT. The sitar wielding, bongo thumping group have now added a second show at The Corner Hotel on Sunday 24th July to keep up with their popular demand.

Their hometown of Sydney has also demonstrated their love for Jinja Safari’s vigorous live flair, with minimal tickets available to their Oxford Art Factory show on Saturday 16th July. Any Sydney fans will have to move quickly if they want to nab themselves a ticket.

Jinja Safari last month wrapped up Boy & Bear’s sold out national tour to hot critical acclaim, often warming up the crowd to near boiling point for the headliners.

Last week Jinja Safari unveiled the ‘Head In A Blender’ video, which captures just a few of the antics the band get up as pre-show preparation (see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fi4v6n5OE08). The gifts just keep on coming from Jinja Safari, who also released track ‘Head In A Blender’ as a free download via their pals at Pedestrian. They have already given away ‘Hiccups’ via triple j and ‘Scarecrow’ via Frankie magazine. There are only a few tracks to go before the whole “Mermaids and Other Sirens” EP will be released in full.
