Guests at the 9th Annual ASTRA Awards are in for a treat with musical performances scheduled by Australia’s celebrated R&B sensation Jessica Mauboy, powerful vocalist Katie Noonan’s Elixir Trio and up and coming indie artist Guineafowl.
The ASTRA Awards recognise excellence in subscription television, and music has always been a big part of this thanks to the breadth of musical content available on STV on networks such as Channel [V], MTV, Country Music Channel and MAX. As such, incredible musical performances have always been a highlight of the awards night.
Jessica Mauboy has had incredible year of success; since releasing her second studio album Get ‘Em Girls in late 2010 the album has been certified gold and features the hit singles 'Saturday Night' and 'What Happened To Us'. In advance of their performance at the upcoming Splendour in the Grass, Guineafowl will preview a new track from their forthcoming album.
