Winners of the 2014 SiriusXM Indies announced in Toronto!

The 2014 SiriusXM Indies were held in Toronto, where the 14th annual Independent Music Awards celebrated some of the best names in Canadian and international music. Across 37 categories, winners included City and Colour, Half Moon Run, Vampire Weekend and Arctic Monkeys. The night included some awesome live performances too by the likes of Little Dragon, The Strumbellas, Born Ruffians and Hollerado.

Sounds Australia announces additional showcases for Canadian Music Week

The already-announced Aussie BBQ at this year's Canadian Music Week doesn't seem to be enough for Sounds Australia as they continue to show their support for emerging Australian artists with two very promising showcases. Sounds Australia will host 'Sound Gallery' at The Marriott Lounge (53 Bay St) on Thursday May 8, and 'Beat Pie' on Friday may 9 at Czehoskis (679 Queen St. W).

Samsung presents the massive Digital Matters program for 2014 while Australians shine on the Music Matters Live line up!

The huge Music, Digital and Social Media Matters programs are back in Singapore this May, with the three intensive and diverse conference and showcase line ups providing the opportunity for industry members from all around the globe to come together and learn, network and exchange ideas. The May 20-25 event sees Samsung coming onboard as Presenting Sponsor for the Digital Matters conference, which is a huge coup!

Four NSW artists set to join Eminem, Pearl Jam, OutKast and more at the 2014 Austin City Limits Festival.

One of our favourite US Festivals without question is Austin City Limits - a festival put on by C3 Events (the guys behind Lollapalooza in Chicago, and also co-presenters of Big Day Out here in Australia) over two weekends in Austin every October. It's hard to believe we're talking about it already, but today marked the announcement for this year's event, set to be headlined by Eminem, the already leaked Splendour headliners Outkast and recent Big Day Out headliners Pearl Jam.

Canada's largest outdoor festival, Festival d'été de Québec, is set to be phenomenal once again for 2014! The legendary July music gathering sees millions travel to the historic city for ten days of incredible live performances. There's the opportunities to discover new and fresh artists from around the world while also bearing witness some international heavyweights bringing world class live shows through to Québec too.

T In The Park continues to grow strong in 2014, with the likes of Tame Impala, Arctic Monkeys and more set to perform!

British festival T in the Park has brought a strong lineup for its 2014 run! The three day July festival still has more artist announcements to come, but the list of artists already name-dropped is impressive indeed. With the Tame Impala boys being the first Australians to be included on the festival bill (so far) this year, the festival will also be seeing some stellar international names coming through, including some who will be soon knocking on our doorstep in Arctic Monkeys, Ellie Goulding, Biffy Clyro and Disclosure.

Sounds Australia brings the Aussie BBQ back to Canadian Music Week!

Sounds Australia will return to Toronto soon, along with many Australian bands, for Canadian Music Week! Their world-renowned showcase will a great line up of Aussie artists play at The Aussie BBQ, held at the Horseshoe Tavern on May 10th. Taking place from 12:00pm - 6:00pm, the BBQ will give our talent the perfect opportunity to show their goods off to the Canadians - the biggest showcase of Australian music outside of the country itself.

We're headed back over to Toronto for the annual Canadian Music Week, which is happening in May for the first time this year (in the past it's been held straight after SXSW in March). Seattle's Bumbershoot is gearing up for a spectacular 2014! The biggest news is the Festival's Main Stage is moving to Memorial Stadium, after three years at KeyArena. The new layout allows for the venue to be open all day, with minimal lines and increased safety. A smaller, secondary stage will also be activated in between the Main Stage headliners.

Kings of Leon, Outkast and Eminem joined by ten Australian bands for Lollapallooza 2014!

Who wants to go to Chicago? Well, with today's massive Lollapalooza announcement, we certainly do. Headlining the three day event - now in its 10th year and already sold out by the time we write this article - are Eminem, Outkast and Kings of Leon alongside names like Arctic Monkeys, Skrillex, Calvin Harris and Foster The People.

Keith Urban joins Austin legend Willie Nelson to close the iTunes Festival at SXSW 2014

After helping bring some of the world's biggest artists to Austin during SXSW - from Coldplay to Soundgarden - alongside the hottest talents of moment - from London Grammar to ScHoolboy Q - the iTunes festival ended its inaugural five night run during the event with Australia's biggest country star Keith Urban sharing the stage with Mickey Guyton and the legendary Willie Nelson, at a venue that was appropriately positioned right on Willie Nelson Blvd.
