While we may never reach the same fevered pitch as Mess and Noise, we do love a bit of Gotye now and then. Since taking off in the USA, it's been nothing but strength to strength for Mr De Backer, including a spot on the prestigious Austin City Limits festival, alongside Kimbra...surprise!

It's no secret that we love the hell outta Austin; it's a pretty fantastic city that has a flair for creating massive big-huge music events, and Austin City Limits is no different. Featuring the hotly-tipped Big Day Out 2013 headliners Red Hot Chili Peppers as well as some other visitors to our fine shores (The Afghan Whigs, Jack White, Florence + The Machine, and The Black Keys to name but a few), we can only hope the line up has some hints for our upcoming festival season. Childish Gambino and Delta Spirit would be great additions to Laneway, if I say so.

Stick with the AU review for more ACL news...we're thinking some on the ground coverage would be right up our alley. Any excuse to head back to Austin. Stay tuned.
