A Night of Electro-Swing at The Brighton Hotel

The Brighton Hotel is playing host to a fun night of Electro-Swing titled The Janniston. The only night of its kind in Sydney they will be playing modern classics all night till your feet start hurting (and possibly after). Entry is only $5 before midnight and its inauguration is the 1st of June from 11pm.

Soul of Sydney hosts Free Block Party This Sunday

Just announced is the latest **hush hush** secret block party hosted by the Soul of Sydney, this Sunday on May the 19th. A free party with live music and street art this is a family friendly event that is taking place at a “secret inner-city disco oasis”. You have to email them to discover the secret location and there’s a call out for people to bring along any kind of sound system. Playing are Djs MK-1, Meem, Shirene D’Silva, Sani Dj, Cman, Juzzlikedat, Eadie Ramia and Michael Zac. From 1pm till 8pm with limited capacity.

Spirit Faces Release New Single & Play Sydney Show

The delightfully named Spirit Faces, is playing a show at the Brighton Up Bar to celebrate the release of new single "Moose Mountain Medicine Wheel". This latest rack was influenced by 1970’s singer-songwriters Neil Young, Steve Earl and James Taylor and was recorded with regular live line-up – Jack Britten, Brendan Clarke and Julien Crendal with backing vocals from Elana Stone.
Playing along on the 30th of May are Little Fox and BOUY.

Novo & The Experience host Sydney EP Launch

Launching their brand new EP There’s Something Here are Novo & The Experience at the Beresford Hotel on Friday the 31st of May. The inspiration for the album comes from the imagination you had as a child, always finding fun and inventing things to keep you amused. Something that adults seem to forget is to give significance to the little things. Thus creating sweet indie pop which you can enjoy live from 6pm. Supporting them are Alaskan Nights, Jake Edgley and Dj Kristy Lee.

Sons Of East Hit Up the East-Coast

Sons Of East are showing up on everyone’s radar, already racking up over 65,000 plays on YouTube, radio play on Triple J and FBi and even appearing on the Cool Hunter website. This handsome trio are packing up their banjos and slinging their guitars for two more dates in New South Wales to bring you and fans alike their indie-folk tunes.

Sydney boys Jack Rollins, Nic Johnston and Dan Wallage have already played the Beresford to great reception and are heading to the Oxford Art Factory in Sydney on the 23rd of May and the Steyne in Manly on the 27th of June.

Tuka, Ellesquire and JONES Jnr play June Long Weekend

Bringing you an incendiary night of Soul and Hip Hop at the Newtown Hotel are Tuka, Ellesquire and JONES Jnr on June the 8th. Tuka from the Thundamentals and Ellesquire have come off the back of Seth Sentry’s national tour and Jones Jnr made waves with that cover of Matt Corby’s "Brother" on Triple J’s like a version.

The show will kick off from 7pm with free entry so get in before it reaches capacity for a sweet night of Australian soul and Hip Hop.

Jack Carty and Casual Psychotic EP Release

With two critically acclaimed albums under his belt and 200 live shows nationally, Jack Carty has collaborated with Sydney producer Casual Psychotic to bring you The Predictable Crisis Of Modern Life. What initially started as an hour long tour of C.P’s home studio turned into a 14 hour recording session and now a new EP with a whole new different sound from Jack Carty than fans have been exposed to.

To reveal the new material to the public Jack Carty is hosting a secret Sydney launch Show on May the 30th with the address only revealed when you buy your ticket from Moshtix.

High Highs Announce Sydney Show

Sydney band High Highs are returning to Australia to play a headline show in Sydney off the back of their LP release Open Season. Now Brooklyn based, they are returning to play an intimate home gig at the Oxford Art Factory on June the 5th to the enjoyment of their Australian fans. Bringing their ‘chilled experimental indie’ music to you with unannounced special guests, tickets are now onsale from Moshtix.
