Sofar Sounds Comes To Brisbane

Sofar Sounds is a concept that started in London, bringing music fans together in actual living rooms to hear emerging and undiscovered musical talent in an intimate setting. We are happy to announce that Sofar Sounds has launched in Brisbane and the next night is on the 23rd of June and then monthly from then on. Each month will have new artists and the line-up will only be known to those who rock up and you have to email to RSVP and find out the location.

A donation jar will be passed around instead of a cover charge so be generous as you’re supporting up-and-coming artists. Each night will be recorded and put up on the Sofar website and doors open from 6.30pm.

Belltalk Release Debut Single & Announce Single Launch

Indie-pop Brisbane natives Belltalk have released their debut single ‘Bright Lights’ since recording it in late 2012. The new single has been described by songwriter Caitlin as “about wanderlust – the desire to see everything: to be completely free and independent and how you’re happy to give that all up in a heartbeat if the alternative is better”. The four-piece will be launching their new single on June the 13th at Dowse Bar in Paddington QLD.

Tickets are $8 at the door and it all kicks off at 7.30pm

With the success of Our Band Could Be Your Life One & Two comes the third edition which is set to be a right old Rock’n’Roll party. Brisbane’s own Mercy Beat will be headlining, launching their new single ‘Fishbowl’ and along for the ride are Snakes And Daggers, The Grand Scheme and The Strums.

Set for the 14th of June at the Tempo Hotel, it’s only $10 at the door.
