DIAFRIX LAUNCHING ALBUM AT THE NORTHCOTE SOCIAL CLUB

Melbourne based hip-hop duo, Diafrix, will be in Melbourne this October to launch their highly-anticipated sophomore record, Pocket Full of Dreams! It’s a massive album deserving of two shows at the Northcote Social Club – get down and support the duo as they bringing some pretty huge sounds to life onstage!

DUBMARINE & JACKIE MARSHALL CLOSING ‘LONG PLAYER SESSIONS’

Brisbane’s celebration of classic records, The Long Player Sessions, will be drawing to a close this month with a huge event taking over the Brisbane Powerhouse. Closing out the first instalment of the sessions will be Brisbane’s own 10-piece live phenomenon Dubmarine, performing The Prodigy’s The Fat of the Land record! One of the country’s most respected artists, Jackie Marshall, will be performing Jeff Buckley’s seminal album Grace too, backed by her all-star Black Alles Band.

STRANGERS FROM NOW ON PERFORMING AT THE ESPY THIS MONTH

Debuting new material at The Espy’s Gershwin Room this month will be Strangers From Now On. Having played all over the world over the past year, the band will be appearing alongside Sydney’s Richard In Your Mind at the Espy as part of their Melbourne tour. Formed in early 2012, Strangers From Now On have drawn influence from the likes of Sonic Youth and Portishead and have drawn rave reviews for their live shows.

PSEUDO ECHO TAKING TO THE STAGE AT THE GOV

Promoting their new album Teleporter, electro-pop pioneers Pseudo Echo will be coming to The Gov! The band has been touring since they performed a ‘one night only’ show on NYE in 1998 and have since been playing to packed houses around the country. The new album is sure to be another success for the band, get to The Gov this month and check it out!

STICKY FINGERS VISITING ADELAIDE IN SEPTEMBER

Sydney’s Sticky Fingers will be performing at The Gov next month, bringing with them some seriously funked up tunes. The band’s genre mash up of psychedelic surf rock has made Sticky Fingers favourites on live stages recently and their latest song, “Caress Your Soul”, has been receiving a heap of Triple J love – a great indicator of what is to come from their debut album, due to be released next year.

ART OF SLEEPING EXTEND TOUR WITH FREE GIG IN BRISBANE

Popular Brisbane band, Art Of Sleeping, will be performing a free gig at the new Grill’d Wintergarden restaurant next week! The Triple J Unearthed winners will extend their Winter East Coast tour with this hometown show and will be participating in an intimate 30 minute Q&A session.

Having already been announced on the Falls Festival and Southbound lineups for 2012 and 2013 respectively, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs have announced a special one-off show in Sydney this October. Orlando Higgenbottom the man behind TEED, will be making his first trip to Australia for the gig, bringing material from his stellar debut album Trouble.
