Blue Sun, a band comprising the talents of Josh Romig, Shane Reilly, Pete Marin and Roger Bergodaz, will be launching their new single “Real Boy” at Yah Yah’s next month! The track, taken from the band’s new EP We Are Blue Sun is inspired by the tale of Pinocchio, and has been getting some great reviews recently! Supporting Blue Sun at the launch will be Axolotl and Leena.

R.L. JONES (EX-THE MIDDLE EAST) PLAYING SHOWS THROUGH SEPTEMBER
R.L. Jones or Rohin Jones as he was known during his days with The Middle East has shifted his musical focus since the band parted ways and now is ready to share some of his music with audiences around the country. His forthcoming solo album is due out in early 2013 and to showcase not only his first single, “Everybody Wants to Be Your Friend”, but everything else he’s been working on, Jones will be playing two shows next month with his new band, The Phony Mexican Diner.

Fanny Lumsden & The Thrillseekers will be playing at The Workers Club next month, supporting their new Autumn Lawn EP. The series of launch parties the band have planned promise to be intimate and fun affairs, celebrating the success of the “Firing Line” single, which has recently been picked up by Rage and is due to be broadcast on CMC too.

Originally formed in the USA by Steve Hensby, Tracksuit has since played alongside the likes of Nick Littlemore (Empire of the Sun) in Silver Scene amongst others. The band has supported the likes of British India, Eskimo Joe and Owl Eyes and now have some excellent touring news of their own. With their second EP, Where Have All the Good Times Gone? released to considerable acclaim, Tracksuit are playing a select few launch shows in promotion of “Classy Girl”. They’re going to be at The Bird in Northbridge at the end of the month!
