Lauryn Hill and Miguel lead a massive second line up announcement for Soulfest 2015

Second line up announcements for music festivals are traditionally on a somewhat lower scale than the first announcement. Not this one though. Joining the already massive announcement of Mary J Blige as headliner for Soulfest will be none other than Ms Lauryn Hill.

Partnership and Collaboration the key words amongst panelists on the first day of All That Matters in Singapore.

Today marked the first day of the 10th annual All That Matters conference in Singapore - a three day event which takes over the Ritz Carlton for talks on Music, Video, Sponsorship, Sync and Live Events. The first day kicked off with special panels highlighting the music industries in India, Indonesia, Australia (pictured above) and Taiwan. A common thread sat amongst many of the talks throughout the day was that of collaboration and partnerships being integral in industry success.

Third and final show added for Grace Jones at Modulations, Vivid Sydney

Music and fashion icon Grace Jones will be the special guest at this year's Modulations at Carriageworks during Vivid Sydney, and a third show has just been added for the highly influential musician. With her first two performances nearing capacity, this third and final concert will take place on Tuesday 2nd June.

Rekorderlig Cider announces return of Sounds in the Snow festival

High profile Aussie dance and electro bands in the snow fortress that is Thredbo? Yes please. Rekorderlig Cider have announced that their popular live music series Sounds in the Snow will indeed return later this year, popping up a winter playground at the Thredbo Alpine Hotel from June 6th.

The 30th anniversary celebrations of the Barunga Festival were always going to be mega, but with the event's final artist announcement featuring the likes of Paul Kelly, Briggs and Gurrumul, the festival to be held this Queen's Birthday long weekend has now been certified as being something of the legendary quality. Barunga is known for its memorable musical collaborations and the 2015 artist line up could possibly still offer up some gems and surprises for sure.

Month long party, Oxjam Music Festival, to debut in Australia this August

Oxjam, a month-long music festival with hundreds of events by international charity body Oxfam, is set to make it's debut in Australia this August. Tomorrow, the ten day Canadian Music Week festival kicks of in Toronto, Canada. Australia is the focus country of the event this year, and as part of the celebrations, there will be three major showcases of Australian talent. Darwin Festival names first acts for 2015 including Xavier Rudd, Dylan Moran and more!

The Darwin Festival has revealed its first six acts set to hit the tropics this August and already, we're excited about what shows punters in the Top End will have on offer in the ways of music, comedy and live performance. The festival, running from August 6th through until August 23rd, now sees former Northern Territory Chief Minister and Arts Minister Clare Martin named as the new Chair of the Darwin Festival, with the event's General Manager Mark Crees noting that Martin is going to be a valued member of the team given her support of the arts in the NT over the years, bringing years of experience to the table.

TV on the Radio confirm VIVID Sydney shows for the Sydney Opera House Concert Hall!

US indie legends TV on the Radio have confirmed an appearance at the Sydney Opera House as part of the VIVID LIVE component of VIVID Sydney! The band will already be performing in Australia this June, as we all know, but this announcement means they'll be now bringing VIVID LIVE to a triumphant close. Performing two shows in the Concert Hall, TV on the Radio will be playing their largest shows in Sydney yet in support of their acclaimed latest record, Seeds.

Grace Jones to appear at Modulations as part of Vivid Sydney

The incomparable Grace Jones will be returning to Australia next month to perform as part of Modulations at Carraigeworks, during Vivid Sydney - the festival of light, music and ideas. She'll perform for two nights on the 31st of May and the 1st of June and these will be her only Australian appearances. It's her first time in Sydney since 2011 and continues on from the tradition set by the inagural Modulations event last year, to feature a huge international guest at the top of their showcase. Last year we were of course gifted the wonderful Pet Shop Boys.
