WOMADelaide, Australia’s most diverse and exciting music festival, today announced a further 25 artists for the 2012 event. With 2012 heralding the 20th anniversary of WOMADelaide in Australia, next year’s milestone in Adelaide’s Botanic Park from 9-12 March will see a number of past festival favourites return, and the Australian debut of some of the world’s most exciting new artists.

Organisers of Canberra’s Mission To Launch Festival regretfully announce that the festival has suspended ticket sales and is officially cancelled.

The decision has been a very difficult one for organisers who, as Canberra locals themselves, envisaged bringing a world-class party to the nation’s capital for New Year’s Eve.

After scouring through over 1,000 music applications for the 2012 Festival, Peats Ridge Sustainable Arts and Music Festival announce a final 78 acts – rounding off their music line-up, with a phenomenally massive 140 total acts set to rock the Glenworth Valley over 3 days from 29 December 2011 – 1 January 2012.

The ever-evolving boutique music festival Playground Weekender is taking over the The Del Rio Resort, just an hour and a half outside Sydney for the sixth consecutive year in 2012. Spanning three days, March 2nd, 3rd and 4th, the award winning festival boasts six stages and one of the most excitingly diverse line-ups on Australia’s festival circuit. This is a riverside retreat like no other.

The South by Southwest (SXSW) Music Festival in Austin Texas is pleased to announce a second round of bands scheduled to perform at the 26th edition of the event. The music portion of the event is taking place Tuesday, March 13 - Sunday, March 18, 2012.

While the second announcement for the 2012 leg of iconic festival the Big Day Out was announced today, some odd decisions in tweaking the lineup in certain cities also came through the wire.

Two of the hottest properties in dance music, Calvin Harris and Example have joined French electro-maestros Justice on the Field Day 2012 line-up. Sydney’s best New Year’s Day party is further enhanced by the dubstep stylings of Modestep and a solid squadron of local stars including Flight Facilities, The Aston Shuffle , Cloud Control and New Navy.
