WOMADelaide announces a further 25 artists for their 20th anniversary event in 2012.

WOMADelaide, Australia’s most diverse and exciting music festival, today announced a further 25 artists for the 2012 event. With 2012 heralding the 20th anniversary of WOMADelaide in Australia, next year’s milestone in Adelaide’s Botanic Park from 9-12 March will see a number of past festival favourites return, and the Australian debut of some of the world’s most exciting new artists.

Organisers of Canberra’s Mission To Launch Festival regretfully announce that the festival has suspended ticket sales and is officially cancelled.

The decision has been a very difficult one for organisers who, as Canberra locals themselves, envisaged bringing a world-class party to the nation’s capital for New Year’s Eve.

The South by Southwest (SXSW) Music Festival held in Austin, Texas is pleased to announce the first round of bands scheduled to perform. 2012 marks the 26th edition of the event, and the music portion of the festival will be taking place Tuesday, March 13 - Sunday, March 18, 2012. This announcement is only the beginning, as showcase applications will be accepted until Friday, November 4 for a showcasing slot.
