The AU Review is heading to Canadian Music Week! The week following SXSW, we'll be bringing you comprehensive coverage of the Australian presence and their overseas doings, as well as some other surprises coming your way!

Here's a snippet of some of the announcements coming forth from the CMW camp; headline shows and a grandstand interview with Slash, headlining shows from both The Temper Trap and Passion Pit, a comedy showcase led by Tracy Morgan, and many many more; we'll also have an announcement of the 150+ artists showcasing at the event coming shortly!

Keynote Speakers: Slash, Jeff Beck, and more!

Slash will be heading to Canadian Music Week for a very special interview with Fox News' Senior Correspondent John Roberts and CNN's Kyra Phillips on Friday, March 23rd at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel, ahead of his headline show at the Phoenix Concert Theatre later that night!

Slash will reveal intimate details of his touring process, stories from the road and studio, reveal the impact of live shows, as well as revealing exclusive details about his second solo album due for release in May 2012.

Also appearing as a keynote speaker will be guitar legend Jeff Beck. Performing at the Phoenix Concert Theatre on March 22nd, the Rock And Roll Hall of Famer will be at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel on March 23rd for an exclusive one-on-one interview.

The latest announcement for keynote speakers also included the scheduling of Harvey Goldsmith, legendary live event manager. Contributing largely to the success of Live Aid 1985 as well as Led Zeppelin's 2007 reunion show at London's O2 Arena, Harvey has worked with some of the biggest names in rock and roll history. He will be speaking at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel on March 23rd.

SiriusXM Indie Awards and Inductees to SiriusXM Indie Hall Of Fame

Digital radio pioneers SiriusXM will be live broadcasting the celebration of the top Canadian independent bands from the Fairmont Royal York Hotel on March 24th. The simulcast will be broadcast across the United States and Canada on SiriusXM Digital Radio Station XM151 (on The Verge)and SIRIUS151 (on Iceberg).

Featuring performances by some of 2011's breakthrough independent artists such as The Sheepdogs and Dan Mangan, there will also be a special performance by Passion Pit with attendees and listeners having a chance to hear new material from their release coming later in 2012.

Being inducted into the 2012 SiriusXM Indie Hall Of Fame will be power pop icon Treble Charger. Forming more than twenty years ago in Ontario, their 1994 debut LP nc-17 became Canada's best-selling independently released record and caught the attention of commercial radio stations. Since then, the band have toured with the likes of the Foo Fighters and Smashing Pumpkins, and while they may have disbanded in 2006, founding members Greig Nori and Bill Priddle will reunite for the induction and will be performing such hits as 'American Psycho' and 'Red' at the show.

Nominations for the entirety of the Indies will be released later this month.
