The 2013 edition of the Big Day Out has already dished up some pretty awesome bands, right? Well, in another tasty announcement, the festival has revealed that Chow Town will be established at each leg of the festival tour, providing punters with the opportunity to get some good food into them as the day goes on.

Following on from a concept first enabled by the BDO's sister festival Lollapalooza, Chow Town will feature mini-versions of Australia's finest and most acclaimed restaurants as pop-up eateries. The 'Culinary Outlaw' ambassadors of Chow Town in Australia come in the form of Porteno/Bodega lads Ben Milgate and Elvis Abrahanowicz, and they have curated a 'city by city' list of chefs, restauranteurs and foodies in providing the unique taste experience that will be Chow Town.

This is going to be like the rock and roll version of the Good Food and Wine Festival - perfect for those of us who want to pay the appropriate amount of money for something other than a greasy hot dog or chicken nugget!
