Applications open for bands and filmmakers for "Captured: Australia"

The third incarnation of Captured has officially landed, with applications opening today for Captured Australia. With the films set to premiere in November as part of Australian Music Week, bands, filmmakers and musicians from around the country have just until Monday September 14th to apply to be a part of the project.

Captured Australia will pair up filmmakers and artists from across Australia, giving them about 7 weeks to create a music video or short film under 5 minutes. The films will premiere at a red carpet cinema event at Australian Music Week in Sydney before embarking on a tour around the country. During the 3 week tour, the films will feature online where fans can vote for their favourite video. A panel of judges will also select their favourite.

A winning band – chosen by the public – and a winning filmmakers – chosen by the industry judges – will be presented with their awards at a special event in early December.

More details about the prizes, judges and the national run of events will be revealed later in the year.
