With only a month to go before the very first Rewind 80’s Festival in Australia and success of sold out Rewind – 80s Festival in England and Scotland, Rewind Australia is excited to announce the additional of award winning chart topper, Kim Wilde to the already massive line up.
Recording Artist, Performer, Journalist, Actress, Radio Presenter and Garden Designer -Kim Wilde is one multi-talented lady. Since her first single “Kids in America” became a worldwide hit on its release in 1981, and a string of million-selling albums and single success followed including “Chequered Love”, “Water On Glass”, ‘Cambodia’, “View From A Bridge” and “You Keep Me Hangin’ On”, she’s enjoyed a varied and highly successful career. Still producing new material and touring Europe extensively, Kim will be heading to Wollongong to reclaim her Princess of Pop crown and entertain Rewind’s Australian fans.
80’s music fans in Australia are getting ready for some of the best loved music icons of the decade to descend upon the beautiful BlueScope Field in Kembla Grange from 28 to 30 October, 2011 for the inaugural Rewind Festival Australia, boasting the biggest live outdoor line-up of 80s recording artists and performers ever (Bananarama, Midge Ure, Sister Sledge, Kool and The Gang, Tony Hadley, Nik Kershaw and ABC, to name a few).
Rewind 80’s Festival will not only feature the best acts of the 80’s (and some from the 70’s & 90’s) there will be loads of other festival fun from Silent Discos to Live Karaoke bars along with Camping and “Glamping” options, with more on all the additional festival extras, opening times, stalls, transport options etc to be announced very soon.
