"Tried and True" is from Lake Disappointment the most recent album from American singer-songwriter Eric Harvey. Harvey has been a member of the band Spoon since 2004, he's also appeared alongside Ray Davies on his 2011 album See My Friends, singing the title track alongside the former Kink.

Lake Disappointment features members of Spoon, Charlie Sexton, Hank Roberts, Daniel Hart, and Ariel Saldivar, amongst others. Drawn from a wide range of styles from pre-war blues to 80s pop, Harvey's style could loosely be described as folk inspired. Which comes across well in "Tried and True" a track which Harvey recorded with his girlfriend Ariel Saldivar and recorded with Charlie Sexton.
