Exclusive Single Premiere: Leo Rose "Love?" (2015)

Today we're excited to bring you the exclusive premiere from alt-pop singer, songwriter and dancer Leo Rose. The track is the artist's third single, entitled "LOVE?", the end of a trilogy of songs "about self-actualisation and self discovery". The excitingly original track starts out trap-like, before returning to his roots a little over halfway through, combining raw vocals and piano to make for a compelling and arresting track.

Single of the Day: Jarryd James feat. Julia Stone "Regardless" (2015)

The beautiful falsetto of Jarryd James is back in his new single "Regardless", this time in a perfect pairing with Julia Stone. This song is led by a killer bass riff, and grows the further into the song you get; with hints of soul, electronica and folk its hard to pinpoint the genre of this track. Listen to “Regardless” here:

Single of the Day: Last Dinosaurs "Apollo" (2015)

Last Dinosaurs' second album is coming up, and they’ve been kind enough to give us a five track preview of it. Their newest single “Apollo” is one of the cuts off it, and if it’s anything to go by, this album is going to be full of catchy hooks, driving indie drums and some subtle synths. “Apollo” is making winter feel like summer and we’re okay with this. Give it a listen here:

Music Video of the Day: The Durries “Marlboro Gold” (2015)

The Durries have recently released their EP and the single “Marlboro Gold” has possibly the most perfect video ever. It’s got costumes, a spoken word section, and a whole lot of cigarettes.

Music Video of the Day: Mumford & Sons “Ditmas” (2015)

The songwriting and production on Mumford & Sons new album is flawless, and their new single “Ditmas” is no exception. Their new music shows an obvious change in direction, losing the banjo and adding electric guitars and rockier drums, but it still sounds distinctly Mumford & Sons, arguably better than ever.

Single of the Day: Ecca Vandal "Father Hu$$la" (2015)

Perennial badass and wildfire talent Ecca Vandal has dropped her latest single, one that has become a crowd favourite during live shows, "Father Hu$$la"! Landing a great online premiere through SPIN and on the airwaves with Linda Marigliano's 'triple j Goodnights' show, the tune is bombastic and fearless, not to mention fun and entertaining as hell to thrash along to. If you're not around Ecca yet, now is the time to get on board - off the back of an impressive run of club shows and festival dates through 2015, hers is a name you're going to be likely to be hearing more and more of.

Music Video of the Day: Editors "Life is a Fear" (2015)

Having just premiered on Zane Lowe's Beats radio show, the new tune from Editors is here! "Life is a Fear" is the latest single released from the band's forthcoming fifth studio album, In Dream, and has again shown the Brits delving further away from the guitar-driven sounds fans have become familiar with as they continue to explore and develop some experimental electro-pop sounds.

Single of the Day: JOY. "About Us" (2015)

JOY. is going to be one of our artists to watch at BIGSOUND this year, the lady is only 17 but the waves she's been making around the country recently with those effortlessly dreamy vocals, killer production and lyricism have pointed to huge things being lined up just around the corner for this talent. Her new single "About Us" is another great cut from JOY. and will be featured on her forthcoming EP Ode, which is set for release near the end of August.

Single of the Day: KUČKA "Honey" (2015)

It's no surprise that the AU loves and supports the talented Perth singer and producer KUČKA - ever since we landed her for our annual birthday celebrations in Brisbane post-BIGSOUND last year, this girl has been consistently rolling out material we've been stoked to hear. Her latest tune, "Honey", joins the same rank, the latest tune taken from her forthcoming Unconditional EP.

Music Video of the Day: Unknown Mortal Orchestra “Ur Life One Night” (2015)

“Ur Life One Night” is one of the stand out tracks off Unknown Mortal Orchestra’s third album Multi-Love, and it’s just been released as a single along with a music video. Fitting to the admittedly strange, yet incredible music, it’s pretty safe to say I have absolutely no idea what’s going on in this video.

Music Video of the Day: Daniel Johns “Going on 16” (2015)

The video for Daniel Johns’ new single “Going on 16” is a mass visual collaboration. Made up of 43 individually animated segments by Newcastle creatives, with each animator given five seconds of footage and full artistic control of their segment.

Single of the Day: Jackie Onassis Feat. Vydamo "MIA" (2015)

Sydney duo Jackie Onassis have been busy tinkering away in the studio and finessing their sound for a highly anticipated debut LP set for release country-wide in the very near future. Proof of that is the project's first single, "MIA", which has the lads hooking with Vydamo, who most recognise as Jim Finn from Art vs Science, for a spirited party-starter, continuing the crisp mix of electronica and hip hop that has made the duo a very in-demand act around Australia.

Music Video of the Day: NGAIIRE "Once" (2015)

The momentum generating around Sydney's NGAIIRE has been building strongly as we edge ever closer to the highly anticipated release of Blastoma. Her recent single launch show in Sydney for the hypnotic "Once" sold out and Melbourne before it was raved about. Ngaiire's talent is one that has remained criminally underrated in Australia for years now - a true gem of a vocalist and performer who has been working hard at refining her craft and working with some legends, this lady is finally going to be getting the wider recognition she deserves with this upcoming album, I can feel it.

Single of the Day: Chet Faker “1998 ft. Banks” (2015)

Chet Faker’s “1998" is one of the stand out tracks from his debut album Built on Glass, but it’s recently been revisited with an extra cameo from the incredible Banks.
