Miike Snow has always had a way of crafting insanely catchy riffs and loops. I may not always remember what the tracks are called, but whenever I hear a specific lyric or riff, it's always "Oh that's THAT Miike Snow tune". The piano and horns on this track are delightful and provides a real sense of slow-burning excitement as it continues towards it's massive end. No doubt the rest of the record will provide more gems. 8/10

This one makes you take notice right from the intro and has a catchy undertone that has us in much anticipation of what they will deliver in their next release. Get it now get it... Free. 7.5/10

I have a thing for jangly piano loops at the moment - think 'Shuffle' by Bombay Bicycle Club - so I was immediately grabbed by the intro of Miike Snow's new offering. Where BBC went for an upbeat jaunt though, Miike Snow take a more restrained approach producing a jittery, frenetic song with mournful horns, icy synth and an interesting time signature in the verse. It bodes well for their upcoming album. 7.5/10

"Devil's Work" is a great track that builds up to an explosion of drums, piano and trumpets. I was filled with Australian pride when Swedish artist Snow made mention of Bondi Station (surely there can be only one?). Instant download! 7.5/10

This track rolls along and builds nicely, the different elements dropping in and out to reach it's climactic ending. While the vocals are not the strongest or most captivating instrument in the mix, they serve their purpose well and convey the emotion of the piece while the synths and effects help it to lift and constantly evolve. The dance elements of the production hint that the right remix of this song would be fantastic as a club track, although this version is enjoyable enough. 7/10

When an artist releases a popular debut record, you always wonder whether the follow up will live up to the high standard set with any success. The infectiously enjoyable "Devil's Work", out first taste of Miike Snow's yet-to-be-titled second record, seems to suggest they will be continuing that standard. I think we have ourselves an album to very much look forward to in 2012. 8.5/10

Miike Snow have a penchant for lyrics which really make you take notice of their always-ambitious sounding tracks - this is no exception. Initially, the cheesy piano loop made me cringe but as the multitude of other instruments are introduced the production gets progressively better - there is much going on in this song and the final product sounds like a winner. 7.5/10
