Let's cure Mondayitis with Amaya Laucirica!

I hope I'm not the only person excited to see Mark Lanegan later this week? The man is a golden god! Yesterday I had a look into who the support was, and found myself introduced to a beautiful Melbourne based singer/songwriter Amaya Laucirica.

I wanted to embrace this cold and wet Monday evening and share it with you.

This World Can Make You Happy/Climb Up High - Amaya Laucirica

"This World Can Make You Happy" is the first single off Amaya's upcoming LP Early Summer, due for release September 6th through new Melbourne label Departed Sounds.

For me, the single is very much one full of "holy shit, this is amazing..." sort of moments. The moments that leave your body covered in goosebumps, especially by the time it's built to the last thirty seconds and those beautiful violins kick back in. Epic. I can't wait to hear this one live.

"Climb Up High", meanwhile, is the album's second single, and while isn't quite as jaw-dropping as the first, it remains a standout that I've already listened to about 10 times. Her voice is truly stunning, and she's easily the best female vocalist I've heard locally in a long time.

You can catch Amaya as the national support for Mark Lanegan!
So make sure you head along and get in early!
