Pei Modern announce special menus for the festive season (Sydney)

Mark Best’s Pei Modern opened in the Four Seasons Sydney hotel last year to a huge response, and to date the restaurant has remained a highly sought-after dining option for both locals and tourists. In preparation for the festive season, Pei Modern have announced a series of holiday dining options including a special Christmas lunch/dinner and a New Year’s Eve dinner – a particularly attractive option seeing that Four Seasons is in a prime location for NYE celebrations.

Best and Pei Modern’s new Head Chef Joachim Borenius have curated the festive menus, staying true to their commitment to high quality, fresh produce.

Firstly, in the lead-up to Christmas, Pei Modern have put together two special menus for groups of 14 people or more, tailored to individual preferences. The first choice features a two-course meal with housemade bread and side dishes for $60pp, with dessert an option for an extra $15; the second “Pei Loves to Feast” menu will deliver a shared three-course menu, again with housemade bread and side dishes, for $85pp. Dishes features on both menus include the very tempting Milly Hill Lamb Shoulder and the refreshing Roasted Meringue with Mango and Coconut Sorbet.

On Christmas Day (25th December), Pei Modern will be offering lunch and dinner options with sweet and savoury treats presented in a diverse buffet, framed by the open-kitchen, wood-fire grill, and oven that dominate the look and atmosphere of the space. Clyde River Rock Oysters (freshly-shucked), Yamba Prawns, juicy Wood-Roasted Suckling Pig, hearty Roast Turkey, and desserts like Pavlova and Christmas PuddingLouis Roederer Champagne on arrival, coupled with a three-course menu featuring Grain-Fed Wagyu Rump Cap served with sweet and sour beetroot, Wood-Roasted Holmbrae Corn-Fed Chicken and Saltbush, and a box of Petit Fours. Dinner is set at $175 per person.

New Year’s Day brunch will bring in 2016 with a long, leisurely buffet which is aimed at vibrant dishes like Pei Modern’s Eggs Benedict, delicious Buttermilk Pancakes with Blueberry Maple Syrup, juicy Pork & Fennel Sausages, some lively Gourmet Salads, freshly-baked Pastries and Sweets, and hang-over cure juices. The brunch buffet is set at $70 per person and starts at 11am, ending at 2:30pm.
